Terms of Service
Last updated: October 14, 2026 · Effective: October 14, 2026
Please read these Terms carefully. They explain what Techo does for you, what you are responsible for when it acts on your behalf, how subscriptions and your balance work, and the limits of our liability.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Techo ai, LLC, 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States (“Techo”, “we”, “us”), and govern your use of techo.ai, app.techo.ai, the Techo bots in Telegram and WhatsApp, and any other Techo app (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Techo does
Techo is a personal AI manager. You describe a task in plain language and Techo’s AI agents work on it: they search and compare options, open websites, remember your preferences, send messages and email, place phone calls, make bookings and, with your approval, pay — and report back with what was done.
- AI makes mistakes. Results are produced by AI models and third-party data sources. Prices, availability, opening hours, ratings and other facts can be wrong or out of date. Check anything important before you rely on it.
- Techo is not a party to your deals. Bookings, purchases and arrangements the agent makes for you are between you and the business or person concerned, under their terms. We are not the merchant, the travel agent, the carrier or the service provider.
- Not professional advice. Techo does not provide medical, legal, financial, tax or other professional advice and is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.
- The Service changes. Techo is under active development. Features, supported countries, channels and providers may change, be limited, or be withdrawn.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Techo.
- You can sign in with Google, Apple, GitHub or an email link, or start in our Telegram or WhatsApp bot. Keep access to those accounts secure: whoever controls them controls your Techo account. Tell us at services@techo.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.
- An account is for one person. Give accurate information — especially the name, contact details and documents the agent uses to book and pay for you.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
4. Actions taken on your behalf
When you give Techo a task, you authorise it to take the steps the task reasonably needs, including contacting people and businesses in your name or as your assistant. The following rules apply.
Approvals
- Before an action that reaches the outside world — sending a message or email, placing a call, making or changing a booking, acting on a website, or paying — Techo shows you what it intends to do, with a risk label, and waits for your approval. Approving it is your instruction to carry it out. An approval request lapses after 24 hours.
- For non-financial kinds of actions (such as sending messages, placing calls, bookings without payment, or acting on websites) you can choose Always allow. From then on Techo carries out actions of that kind without asking each time, and you are responsible for them as if you had approved each one. You can withdraw an “always allow” choice at any time in Settings → Permissions; Techo then asks again before the next action of that kind.
- Payments, purchases and cancellations of paid bookings are never always allowed: each one needs your separate approval, for the specific merchant, amount and card.
- Some steps follow directly from a request you made — for example, when you ask Techo to book an appointment, scheduling it through an online booking service — and may be carried out as part of that request.
Who the messages come from
- If you connect your own messenger account, Techo writes from it, in the first person, as you.
- If you have not, Techo may contact people from accounts and phone numbers operated by Techo. It then introduces itself as your personal assistant, using the name you give it.
- On calls, the agent speaks on your behalf and says it is an AI if asked. Calls are recorded and transcribed, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your responsibility
- You are responsible for the instructions you give and the actions you approve, and for making sure you have the right to contact the people involved and to share their information with us.
- Read what Techo proposes before you approve it. We are not responsible for an action carried out as you approved it, or for the conduct of the businesses and people Techo contacts.
- You can stop a running task at any time. Steps already completed — a message sent, a call made, a booking confirmed — cannot always be undone.
5. Connected accounts and third-party services
- When you connect a WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, MAX or Airbnb account, Techo signs in to it and acts through it like a client app would. These platforms are not affiliated with Techo, and their terms may limit automated use. A platform may restrict, suspend or close an account it believes is automated; you connect your account at that risk, and we are not liable for actions a platform takes against it.
- Your use of websites, merchants, platforms and providers through Techo is also subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability, prices or conduct.
- You can disconnect a connected account at any time in the app.
6. Payments the agent makes for you
- Where the Techo app supports it, Techo can pay merchants with a card you keep on your device. Each payment is approved by you for a specific merchant, amount and card, and the card details are released by your device only for that payment.
- Such a payment is a purchase between you and the merchant, charged to your card by the merchant. Refunds, cancellations and disputes for it go through the merchant and your card issuer under their terms. Techo does not hold your money for these payments and is not the merchant of record.
- Fees, taxes and currency conversion charged by merchants, card issuers or payment processors are your responsibility.
7. Subscriptions, trial and balance
Trial
Every new account receives $5 of credit on its balance, valid for 7 days. No card is needed. Whatever is unspent when the trial ends expires. The trial is given once per account; paying for a subscription ends it.
Plans
Techo is prepaid. A subscription is billed monthly in US dollars and, on each successful payment, adds credit to your balance:
- Pilot — $29.90 per month plus applicable taxes, adds $30 of credit.
- Scout — $99.90 per month plus applicable taxes, adds $120 of credit.
- Concierge — $199.90 per month plus applicable taxes, adds $300 of credit.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled and are charged to the card you gave Stripe, our payment processor. Each renewal adds the credit the plan carries at the time of that renewal.
Prices are stated before tax. Where a tax applies to you — for example VAT, GST or a sales tax — it is calculated from the billing address you give at checkout and added on top of the price; the total is shown before you pay and on your invoice. A business may enter its tax ID at checkout where that changes how tax is charged. Tax does not change the credit a payment adds: a plan adds its stated credit, and the tax goes to the tax authority.
How the balance is spent
- Tasks spend from your balance at what the work actually costs us: each AI model request, search, phone minute, browser session and other paid operation is charged at the provider’s cost to us. Operations that fail are not charged.
- Credit has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and is not refundable except as described in Cancellation and refunds. Purchased credit does not expire while your account exists.
- A new task may require at least $2 available on your balance to start.
Negative balance
- A task that is already running is finished even if its cost takes your balance below zero. The negative balance is an amount you owe us.
- With an active subscription you can allow extra usage beyond your balance by setting a limit of up to $100 in Settings → Billing. The default is zero.
- While you have a subscription, a negative balance is charged to your subscription card once a day (around 03:00 UTC), bringing it back to zero. The charge is invoiced like a subscription payment, with applicable taxes added on top of the amount owed. Amounts under $0.50 wait until they reach that minimum. If the charge fails, extra usage is switched off until a charge succeeds.
- Without a subscription, new tasks may not start until a negative balance is cleared — for example by subscribing.
8. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Billing.
- Full refund when nothing was spent. If nothing has been charged to your balance since your current subscription period was credited, and no task of yours is running, cancelling refunds that period’s payment in full: the subscription ends immediately and the credit it added is removed from your balance.
- Otherwise, no refund. If anything was spent since the last credit, or a task is still running, the subscription stays active until the end of the paid period and does not renew. Until then you keep your balance and can restore the subscription. We do not give partial or pro-rated refunds.
- You can hold one subscription at a time, and change its plan in Settings → Billing. Moving to a more expensive plan takes effect immediately: you pay the difference between the two plans’ prices for the current period (plus applicable taxes), and the difference between their credits is added once that payment succeeds. Moving to a cheaper plan takes effect at your next renewal, with nothing charged or refunded before then.
- Trial credit is not refundable or exchangeable for money.
If you are a consumer with a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days, you ask us to start providing the Service immediately, and you acknowledge that the part of the Service already used is not refundable. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use Techo, or ask it, to:
- send spam, bulk or unsolicited marketing messages, or make robocalls or unsolicited sales calls;
- harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, deceive or impersonate anyone, or contact someone who has asked not to be contacted;
- break laws on calls and messages — including telemarketing, do-not-call, call-recording, consent and anti-spam rules — or evade the limits those laws set;
- commit fraud, make purchases or bookings you do not intend to honour, use payment cards you are not authorised to use, or launder money;
- obtain or share personal data about others without a lawful basis, or collect data at scale by scraping through Techo;
- access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access, or get around security measures, CAPTCHAs, rate limits or other technical restrictions of Techo or of third parties;
- buy, sell or arrange anything illegal, or anything that facilitates violence, exploitation of children, or other serious harm;
- interfere with or overload the Service, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or resell it without our written permission;
- use Techo’s own accounts, phone numbers or email addresses for anything other than the tasks you set.
We may refuse, stop or limit any task, decline to place a call or send a message, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put others at risk.
10. Your content
- You keep ownership of what you give Techo — messages, files, documents — and of the results produced for you, to the extent the law allows.
- You give us the permission we need to host, process, transmit and display that content to provide, secure and improve the Service, including sharing it with the providers described in the Privacy Policy.
- You confirm you have the rights needed to give us that content, including other people’s data.
- Techo, its software, design and brand belong to us and our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to them beyond using the Service.
11. Suspension, termination and account deletion
- You can stop using Techo at any time and delete your account in Settings → Delete account. Cancel any active subscription first; deleting your account does not refund unused balance.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, if your use creates risk for others or for Techo, or if a negative balance remains unpaid. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — survive it.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that any task will succeed, that any business will respond or honour a booking, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information provided by AI models or third parties is correct.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Techo and its affiliates, officers, employees and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or opportunities, arising from or related to the Service, the actions of the businesses and people it contacts, or the actions you approved.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify Techo against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by third parties that arise from your breach of these Terms, from your instructions, or from actions you approved or always allowed that break the law or someone else’s rights.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect; prices of an active subscription change only from a future billing period. Continuing to use Techo after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, you can cancel and delete your account.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will be resolved by the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware, United States, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in the courts where you live. Before starting proceedings, please contact us at services@techo.ai so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
